Player Development KickStart

The Player Kickstart program is geared towards helping players develop and hone their skills in focused areas (i.e., checking, receiving, passing, positional play, shooting). The program is not a powerskating or edge works program and does not replace team practices throughout the season. This program is run in addition to your team's practices and is focused solely on ringette skill development.

Who is it for?

The program is available for players registered in FUN3, U12, U14 and U16 Regional programs.

How do I register?

To register, visit Ramp Registrations. The kickstart program is available under "Camps and Clinics".

The program will be limited to 25 players at the FUN3/U12 level and 25 players at the U14/U16 level.

The program will run for 10 - 1 hour sessions from October to March.

What will the program focus on?

Each session will focus on 3 aspects of Ringette gameplay - Shooting (placement, different types), Ring Possession (getting, maintaining, protecting) and Gameplay (positioning, awareness, etc). As there are a number of different age groups that will be on the ice, our goal will be to focus on skills tailored to that group's cohort.

Will there be conflicts with our practice, game and tournament schedules?

Once we have the group(s) in place, we will do our best to schedule sessions around players practice and game schedules, however each team attends different tournaments or has different events going on throughout the season that could cause a conflict.
