Our girls proudly wear their West Ottawa gear and spend many hours in West Ottawa arenas each season. But there are residents in West Ottawa who are not so lucky and require generosity from many community members to put food on the table each week. A big part of being a well-rounded athlete is not just about what we do on the ice, but also what we do to help those in need. In an effort to give back, we will be assembling "birthday celebration kits" for the Kanata Food Cupboard. As a team, we will meet at the Metro grocery store at March/Carling, where players will be put into groups, with each group assigned items to purchase. Once we have all the items, we will go to the Kanata Food Cupboard warehouse (around the corner on Teron) to assemble the kits. Please have your daughters wear West Ottawa gear as this will be a great team bonding experience!
